Chris & Rachael are both architects who had designed a beautiful addition to their Victorian terrace property as part of their remodelling. We built the rear extension for them, which included reinforced footings & a small area of underpinning the existing foundations. We installed large exposed Douglas fir rafters capped with Douglas fir plywood, which added a striking detail to the roof structure. Use of the light well meant that the new kitchen area could benefit from natural light. The kitchen was moved into the old dining room to create a living space open from the front to the back of the house and there was enough room at the rear for a new WC & utility room. Chris & Rachel saved all the bricks from their removed walls to painstakingly lay in the garden as paving.
